(How To) Jailbreak iOS 5 and Fix Built In YouTube App (API Key)

TubeFixer is a good solution but it can be unreliable at times. Sometimes it will not work while other times it will work great. This is due to server side issues, not because of the device itself or the API key. When it doesn’t work, invidio.us is a more reliable solution when you put it in Safari. TubeFixer should still function but when it doesn’t, use the Safari alternative. Sorry if this has caused confusion but this is a server side issue, not much can be done.

*Edit: Invidio has unfortunately been shut down as of September 1st. The only alternatives left are trying to patch the official YouTube app (built in or the App Store) or use another alternative browser.

This is a tutorial on how to jailbreak iOS 5 devices and how to fix the old built-in YouTube app using Cydia and a YouTube API key.
